PIZZAS!

This week we made muffin-based pizzas. They were delicious. This is how you do it:

1. Get a breakfast muffin and cut in in half.

2. Spread the base with tomato puree.

3. Cover the muffin with your topping - we used mushrooms, sweetcorn, red peppers and olives.

4. Cover the toppings with grated cheese.

5. Grill for 5 minutes until the cheese melts.

If you like, you can use any pizza topping on the pizzas - here are a few suggestions:

ham, chicken, cherry tomato, mushroom, sweetcorn, olives, or if you like, you can just have cheese and tomato.

Enjoy!!!

Making Sandwiches

This week we made lots of different sandwiches. This gave us lots of different ideas of things that we could put into our lunch boxes. We made egg and cress, cheese and carrot and tuna and sweetcorn. We used lots of different breads too, like pitta bread, wraps and rolls. Here is how to make each filling:

Egg and cress
Cook eggs until hard and then mash in a container.
Add mayonaise to the eggs.
Put into your roll/ wrap/ pitta and then add the cress.

Tuna and sweetcorn
Take a can of tuna and put into a bowl.
Add some caned sweetcorn.
Add some mayonaise and mix together.
Put into your roll/ wrap or pitta.

Cheese and carrot
Grate some cheese into a bowl.
Peel a carrot and grate it into the bowl.
Put the mixture into your roll/ wrap/ pitta bread.

Which was your favourite roll? Do you think that you would be able to put some of these fillings into your lunch box? Can you think of any other exciting fillings that you could put into your sandwich/ roll? Which was your favourite type of bread?
